I spent the day walking around parts of Bangkok. The big park near my hotel, Lumphini, was just quiet enough to have me a little nervous. But no problem, there's a park police every 100 feet. Nice park. Then I went up to the train station. Long walkway and I'm cautious. But look there's the security police. Same everywhere I went. Along the street by the river there were police. If you're going to be a lone women walking around a city I'd pick Bangokok.
ps, I don't think this is related to the riot here on Tuesday.
